Happy First Easter Baby Tilly! - Newborn Photo Session Woodland, CA

After we photographed Phil and Leia's maternity session we were so excited to meet Tilly! After putting her mom through something like 34 hours of labor she is finally here. Well, it was worth the wait because Tilly is the sweetest. She was so good on her first session. I figure after a year of seeing us every three months she will be a pro. I mentioned it when I did my first post with these guy and I will probably say it again but Cathy, thank you so much for calling me and having us photograph. We love working with your baby and now her baby. Happy Easter Everyone. Hope this little bundle of joy gets you in the mood!

 Lady bug and Tilly bug:)

Tilly had the cutest pouty lips I have ever seen.
Don't you love her little florescent onesie! They had bunches of them made at her shower in lots of different sizes. Awesome idea!

Look at these guys rocking as first time parents.

Love these two! Isn't she so precious? And look at those hands! Basketball?? Saxaphone?? Guitar? We will see...

Mandy's fav. I will have to post the behind the scenes shots on this one soon!

Leia's mom made these when she was little. Seriously Cathy first off you are quite the seamstress and second you might have psychic powers;)

My Fav

Look at these perfect little tootsies... And the first little imperfection on her heel. For that reason I just couldn't photo shop it. I still have not figured out how I won't punch a doctors lights out when they do all that poking and prodding...

Natalie and some pre wedding fun in Beverly Hills

So, while reciting Pretty Woman lines at one of our favorite clients houses we realized we would be in L.A. at the same time! "Got it. BEV WIL SHIRE." When we found out that Natalie was traveling down there to purchase her wedding shoes we were sold! We decided we could spend some quality time with my bestie Stroms and photograph Natalie's adventure on Rodeo drive. These are the perks of being self employed:) We had such a fun trip! It was Stella our Great danes first trip to the big city, and since Storms lives right in the middle of down town L.A. it was pretty hilarious to see our clown making her way down the side walk. Mandy and I love mellow vacations with no plans and lots of time for rest and that is just what we got. Thank you so much Stormy for letting us crash your crib and for showing us all the hot spots around town. Love you buddy! Thank you Natalie for letting us tag along on your shopping day. It was such a cool experience and I got some sexy time photos to prove it. Enjoy

This may be one of the coolest sports cars I have ever seen! This kid thought so too...

Not to fret, they still have ice cream trucks on Rodeo and we gave them some nerds to boot.

Natalie's Dad was too cute! He wanted to hold all the girls bags. Such a proud Papa. Thanks Jim! You always make us feel like royalty.

Love this one.

Favorite shot of the day.

While I was photographing Jim and the girls I had a whole group of people photographing the seen behind me. Storms was like "your doin good buddy..." It was pretty awesome. I don't know if you heard yet, but I'm kind of a big deal... :)

I see you showing off that Rock Natalie... Lol. We missed you on this one Austin. Next trip to LA it's an  Austin day.

After an awesome day of star sightings and lots of try ons we made our way back to Jimmy Choo to get "the ones." It was pretty exciting! Drum Roll!

Here are the two pairs of shoes Natalie will be wearing at her wedding. Flats for the ceremony by Christian Louboutin and my favorite, heels for the party by Jimmy Choo. They are both so sparkly! Can't wait for her to rock these with the dress... Photogasam time!!!

I know what your up to buddy... This is not Julia Roberts strip:)

She's a real wild child. "Oh dam, I got a run in my pantie hose... I'm not wearing any pantie hose." Lol

After all that walking we felt like a treat was a necessity. Thank you Crumbs. You may not have wanted me to take photos inside but we still got just what we needed.

mmmmmm......

Frosting me likey:)

The saying "got milk?" Becomes a reality situation... Good thing the two sweet tooths were on it.

Photos everywhere! We are contemplating the move for business.

What a crazy town... Mandy and I are still trying to decide if it would be too much for us to handle. There is just so much going on around every corner. Storms as usual knows her way around and zips in and out of traffic like a natural. Phew! I was thanking god I didn't have to drive.

Love the Disney Music Hall! Anyone getting married there or somewhere near need photos?? It's a new location on my dream board.

We went to dinner and ran into this cool piece of art. See the resemblance?

Thats right Muhammad Ali's face depicted in punching bags. Awesome! And of course lit beautifully.

Jason and Carolyn take two! Mandy's favs + dirty scrabble

Couldn't wrap this one up without posting Mandy's favorites and the most epic game of dirty scrabble. I will remember that dirty scrabble gets some amazing expressions out of everyone:)

We spotted this Macy's packet that you receive for registering there and loved it! Go Macy's!

This was too cute to pass up...

My favorite from Mandy's camera. Seriously awesome light at the Weatherstone.

Out takes... I made it into lots of Mandy's shots this time. I'm either real cute or just in the way a lot... :)

Carolyn and Jason ~ Sacramento engagement

Well life has been too busy to even talk long about it - busy means lots of new work so get ready for some serious blog updates. I'm starting it off hot because this first one is beatnik's first engagement session! Thats right! We have just started offering discounts on our venue rentals for couples who choose Wes and me as their wedding photographers! If you didn't know already I own a cooperative photography studio/gallery down town called beatnik studios . We do a whole bunch of different things these days, but renting our venue for weddings is a fairly new service. Anywho, Carolyn and Jason are getting married at beatnik in July. Mandy and I had bunches of fun photographing them. We found some new cool spots while we were out too! It was a crazy beautiful evening and while it sprinkled just a tad, the sun was still shining through the clouds. It made for some perfect photo weather. Thank you guys for trusting us and not canceling. More to come from these two soon!

We got to go to one of their favorite hang out spots the Weatherstone. Such a cool coffee stop!

One of my favs!
